Another amazing addition to the Belles and Mobsters series!
I could not get enough of this couple. Check your triggers, there are flashback scenes where we learn about the traumatic events Sailor and her sister Anya lived through.
I can't wait for Sasha's book!
After the death of her sister, Sailor McHale walked away from her powerful family, in order to safely raise the baby she left behind. Luckily she didn't have to do any of it alone, thanks to friends.
Sailor is set to testify against a powerful cartel figure when the courthouse is rocked by an explosion. Raphael Santos is there to try and speak to her. To offer her and her son his protection. When they bump into each other Sailor recognizes his face. Because it looks a lot like her son's. When the explosion happens he's close enough to shield her and help her escape. But she's wary of him and manages to get away.
With the help of Nico Morelli he's able to follow her and once again save her before the cartel men can nab her. It takes some convincing but he manages to get her to his private island home where he can best protect her and Gabriel.
He's waited to find her again for a very long time and is a bit frustrated that she doesn't remember when they first met. He's never wanted another woman the way that he wants her. So the plan is to get married so he can protect her and Gabriel. She reluctantly agrees thinking this will only be a marriage in name only. But Raphael wants more.
