I almost read this in one sitting; that's how invested I was. After her family's betrayal, Bridget Kavanagh was supposed to be exiled with them. But little did she know that Declan McCarthy stepped in to keep her safe. The whole McCarthy family treats her as one of their own, but Declan is different. He's sweet with her and protective in a way that's different from her overprotective sister.
