It took me a minute to get into this one, but in the end, I loved every second of it.
Adora has lived her whole life in a golden cage as the daughter of a mafia don. Her father has arranged her marriage to Vincenzo Vici, a cold-blooded assassin from a rival family, under false pretenses. Her father is using their engagement party to slaughter the Vici Family.
But he makes a grave mistake. He didn't kill the most dangerous Vici of all, Vincent himself.
Adora never met her fiancé. So when she stumbles upon a bloodied man being tortured in the laundromat in the middle of the night, I save him.
But, he isn't the monster I expected. His kisses light up her soul, and his darkness is a dangerous addiction.
When her father orders her to kill Vincent, she's caught between loyalty to her own blood or to the man who sets her free.
