My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love a grumpy hero! And Jesse Thorne did not disappoint. Bonus he's a firefighter. I loved their back and forth, there were plenty of scenes that made me giggle or laugh out loud.

Jesse Thorne is the local hero, firefighter, loner and now grumpy landlord.

She is not what he expected.

His new tenant is a walkign disaster wrapped in sunshine. She breaks all the rules he sets just to drive him insane.

Controlling her is impossible.

Meet Melanie Moreland

New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of thirty-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.
