I loved how strong Cassia is throughout this book. And the grief she feels seemed to leap off the page, same for Lincoln but together they are able to begin the healing they need.
Cassia is the eldest daughter of Illias Dimitrou, and she's next in line to take over the Greek mafia. She can't show any fear as she learns the ins and outs of the business, otherwise, her father's men will not respect her.
But before she can take over, the family is attacked. Leaving Cassia on her own.
She reaches out to the alliance for help, and Lincoln Knight is the closest, but not before she loses her entire family.
Once they reach the island, he stands guard over her, never leaving her side. And she's starting to become dependent on him and the strength she feels with him by her side.
Especially as she steps into her new role as head of the Greek mafia.
