I loved being back on Runaway Ranch and getting glimpses of the other couples. But those last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat!
Reese is the reigning country-pop princess, where she's gained fame and fortune. Not that it matters at the moment. She needs a minute to catch her breath but her manager isn't listening to her and keeps pushing her. So she escapes to a small mountain town where she can lay low.
But she's assigned a babysitter. Ford Montgomery.
A grumpy cowboy who wears backward baseball caps and is also her new boss.
Neither wants to fall for the other's charms, but as the summer wears on, it's not as easy to dismiss what they are feeling.
He shows her real friendship, they make each other laugh, and more importantly, they see each other's scars and still want one another anyway.
Her past wants to stomp out her newfound freedom and love for good.
But Ford is ready to fight her past and keep Reese by his side.
