I was so happy to receive this ARC because I love paranormal romance and Kristen's writing added bonus to realize that we'd met Lucy in the Bayou Magic series. This book was hard to put down as well. And while Lucy and Jonas get their HEA the malicious entity they faced will be back in the next book, much like the Bayou Magic series. I can't wait to learn more about this in the next book.
We first met Jonas in the prologue, he and his coven in 1692 must cast a curse over their town in order to protect themselves from the people hunting witches.
In the present Lucy's sleep has been interrupted every night by disturbing dreams. When she meets later in the day with her cousin she learns that she is also having disturbing dreams and the same goes for their cousin who shows up on her doorstep after three years away.
That night she sees a man in the woods and when she follows him, he vanishes into thin air.
Excited that after nearly three hundred years someone noticed him Jonas returns to Salem to see Lucy again. They both are able to sense the magic the other carries. But they sense something else as well.
Now they'll work together to figure out how to break the curse on Hallow's End and protect her from the entity out to harm her and her family.
