I was so glad to be back at Bishop's Landing with Eva and Finn. And before I know it I'm done! The ending was to be expected and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
Eva Morelli is pushing forward after Finn pushed her away and basically kicked her out of his home. She's pregnant and knowing how Finn feels about marriage/family she's willing to do it all on her own. She also worries about what her family will say or do when they find out. Especially with Finn out of the picture.
Much to her surprise, he shows up for her sister's wedding reception. She tries to keep a cool distance from him but her family persuades her to dance with him and being that close to him makes it impossible to keep herself closed off.
When Finn learns she's pregnant it all changes for him. He's angry with himself for letting this happen. Scared to actually walk away from her. Scared the family curse will be passed to his child. But losing them both would be the most tragic because he's in love with her and the hope that she brings into his life.
