What a rollercoaster!
I had to put the book down a few times just to get a breather. Because the villain was very villainy or Gemma was making choices I didn't agree with. So good!

This second chance small-town romance starts with Tyler and Gemma exchanging letters over a period of time. They get to know each other on a deeper and eventually fall in love. When Tyler returns they spend three months together before he leaves again.

Twelve years later Tyler is back but things are very different now. Gemma is engaged to another man. Tyler and Gemma do their best to keep their distance from one another but it's not easy when they see each other every day at work.

Her relationship with her fiance feels off and his behavior changes when Tyler starts working at the garage. He's pushing for her to move in and move the wedding date up. This all leaves Gemma unsettled.

With their friendship rekindled, Gemma is able to lean on Tyler when things turn sour with her fiance.
