Queen of Hearts by Alta Hensley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I felt like this was over too soon. But I really enjoyed it. They travel to another country and get to spend some time getting to know each other better, away from the threats that loom over Lyriope.

I also enjoyed seeing how much Nick grew in this book. I can't wait to see what happens in the third book.

Oh my...this picked up following the events from the end of King of Spades. When Nick finds out that Lyriope has run he goes out of his mind. All he can focus on is getting her back.

Rather quickly he finds her. She will be punished for running. Then they'll head to his villa where he'll be able to protect her.
This book is part of a series and should be read in order. Check your trigger warnings.
