I took a little break from blogging the last two weeks of the year. It wasn't my intention, but I'm glad it happened. My mom and brother arrived on Christmas Eve.  We spent time with my grandmother and the extended family that evening. On the Saturday after Christmas, we went to my uncle's home for an extended Christmas gathering and my birthday. It was fun but it did interrupt the reading I had planned.
