The first chapter was bananas! But I was hooked.

Joy is a grumpy city veterinarian. She also happens to be a workaholic and her boss is closing the clinic down for the holidays, forcing Joy to take a break. When she gets home earlier than expected, she catches her boyfriend in bed with someone else.

She needs a distraction. So she answers an ad outside of the city that needs a vet. It's a reindeer sanctuary. Does she know anything about treating reindeer? No. But she needs to get away.

Jaime owns the reindeer sanctuary. He's a single dad to twin girls and Joy's host. As Joy throws herself into helping his animals, he starts to feel warm feelings in his heart that he hasn't felt in a long time.

But her stay has an expiration date.
