I was glued to my reading device with this one. Finn and Nelly offered sweet and silly breaks from the angst. And of course it was great to be back at Moonlit Ridge with all the other characters I've grown to love.
Making his way home during a blizzard, Theo finds Piper, her son, and her grandmother stranded on the side of the road.
He promises to help her get her car fixed and shelter for the evening.
But he can't help but notice how gorgeous this single mom is; she's completely off limits.
He doesn't usually get involved for long with women, especially after what happened years ago.
He's not made to love, he learned.
Plus, his life is dangerous.
Instinct tells him that Piper is in trouble, so he insists that they stay in a cabin at the motel he owns.
He promised his life to protect others, but she becomes so much more.
His need for her is surprising.
When his past comes back to haunt him, he must race against time to save the only woman he's ever loved.
