I'm loving this new series! Remember to check your triggers before you get into this one.
This is Lyra and Carmine's story.

Lyra's life is ballet, but it isn't easy for her. She's dealing with an alcoholic mother who blames her for her father's arrest and death. And now men are knocking down their door demanding the money her father owed them. Another ballerina offers to get her a job that will pay enough to give her a little breathing room.
She witnesses something she wasn't supposed to see and it's not her first run-in with Carmine Barone.

When news gets out that Carmine is looking for a wife, Lyra goes to the interview knowing that if she marries him it'll help get out of the debt she owes.

The attraction between the two is explosive but Carmine is keeping her at arms length, afraid he'll scare her away with his darkness. But the truth is that is what draws Lyra in.
