I could not put this down! I loved Catalina and Dario as individuals and most importantly as a couple.

After college, Catalina is informed by her father (a top lieutenant of the Rodriguez cartel) that she's to marry soon. An arrangement between the cartel and the mafia has been made, and a marriage will only solidify the deal. She'll marry Dario Luciano, future capo of the Luciano Famiglia.

He has quite a reputation. He became a made man at the age of thirteen. The cruelty needed to succeed in this world was beaten into him at an early age by his father. He's not capable of love but he is capable of upholding the vows he makes to his new wife.
