Love love love these two! So emotional and suspenseful. I completely thought they were in the clear when the second thing took me by surprise.
Aria Howard is the daughter of Hollywood royalty. When her last relationship ended badly she fled to the Scottish Highlands and threw herself into running Ardnoch Estate. It provides distance from her old life and a little space from her parents.
Nick Hunter is a newer member of the Estate and he's there to lay low after a story from his past is released by someone trying to destroy the life he's built. Aria sets his blood on fire but he seems to irritate her.
One night of forced proximity and plenty of whiskey have Aria sharing all the horrible things her exes have said to her that have left her closed off. Nick offers to prove her ex wrong. Aria agrees to a one-time thing but Nick knows that once with her will never be enough. Their emotional connection is deep and scares them both but North is determined to show her that she can trust him and that they have a future together.
