Remember to check your triggers, the FMC does go through some traumatic things at the hands of an ex and we learn about them through flashbacks. And MMC is very much the touch her and d1e type.
I loved how much these two despised each other at the beginning because it left me wondering how these two would end up together. I also loved how he stepped in to help her work through her trauma at Paradiso. I could not put this down.
At the office, Samantha is not one to put up with her rude boss. He finds her mouthy AF and constantly testing his patience. So you can imagine Franco's surprise to see her in his club.
She has no idea that her boss owns the club she joined or that he is one of the heads of the Cosa Nostra. She doesn't know that her boss and her mystery man are the very same person either.
When his enemy attacks Samantha and Franco on a business outing his protective instinct kicks in and she sees a side of him she never knew. The attack leaves her shaken and ready to quit her job but Franco won't let her go now that he has her.
And when her past comes back to haunt her, he is the first person she runs to for protection. And he's never letting go.
