Buckle-up! Prepare yourselves and check your triggers because Reina goes through it at the beginning of the book. I was on the edge of my seat and holding my breath. I hated to see Reina suffer so much and honestly wasn't sure how she'd recover from the ordeal. Of course she pulls through. Now I can't wait to see what happens between Dante and Phoenix.

This opens with the ambush still going on and Reina being taken from Amon.
She's led to believe he's dead and the next thing she knows she's being transported with other women in a boat. She becomes aware of who has taken her and why. She fights even though she's sure no one is coming to her rescue.

Meanwhile, Amon is ready to go searching for his wife the moment he wakes up but he needs to recover and they need to find leads to her whereabouts. Working with his connections they finally locate her and devise a rescue plan.

The woman who comes home is not the woman she used to be.

Amon is at a loss, not knowing how to help her but what he does know is that he's not giving up on her. And he needs to find all those who had a hand in her kidnapping because he wants to make sure they can never hurt her again.

She's ready to push him away and he's ready to help his queen rebuild herself.
