Be prepared for a cliffhanger ending!
This book was intriguing because things are not fully explained, and I'm hoping that book two will reveal them. What triggered this curse? Is the Grandmother unhinged and keeping his sister sick? Who are the disciples and what did they do to Willow?
Two families bound by an ancient curse.
On the night of the Tithing, the Wildbloods present their daughter Willow to Azrael Delaxroix. A crescent moon marks her body and signals to Azrael that she belongs to him. Neither has a choice in this because their fates were determined long before they were born.
A sacrifice must be made. A Tithe must be paid until the next payment is due.
What no one ever expected was that Azrael would fall in love with his wife. He promised to protect her but when Willow is given a journal detailing what happens to all the Wildblood women she feels betrayed.
How can she trust him?
