This book had all the things I love in a book. A single dad in need of a nanny. Austin is one of the grumpiest grumps I've ever read and I loved when his caveman came out around her.
Especially when he said to her "Nothing of his will ever touch your skin again."
I really liked Roni, she was strong and despite the circumstances that brought her into his life, she didn't let that get her down.
On the day of her wedding, Veronica Sutton receives a text message from her fiance, only the message isn't meant for her, it's for the woman he's been cheating with. When she walks away from him she leaves with nothing but the clothes or wedding dress on her back.
When she wanders into the local diner she learns that a local family is looking for a nanny. Feeling her luck is turning around she sets off for an interview but the father takes one look at her and says absolutely not.
She has no experience and he would definitely be distracted by her.
But when she becomes stranded she manages to charm his children and siblings and he decides to give her a chance to get on her feet.
The attraction between them is there but Austin doesn't want to cross any lines with Roni. Until they finally give in after the kids go away to spend time with their mom. They spend every night together until the kids come back neither expecting to grow as attached as they feel. Roni wants to feel wanted but will Austin understand that before it's too late?
