I love Apollo and June so much! I've been waiting for this book to see how they finally end up together and I enjoyed it so much. We also learn why June is always so snappy with him. But the overall reason June fights against what she feels for him is sad but he does his best to reassure her every chance he gets.
Living in a small town means people know you well. For June that means what you see is what you get with her. She's a loyal friend but she can hold a grudge if you cross her. And Apollo has been on the receiving end of death glares for as long as he can remember. He just doesn't know why.
When she hires him for the renovation of her chapel, she decides to tone down her usual snark. Apollo can't wait to spend more time with her because he knows that she wants him more than she hates him.
Pretty soon they're spending lots of time together and getting along in front of their friends. And they look forward to spending their nights together as well.
Odd things are beginning to happen on her job sites and even though Apollo knows she's capable of taking care of herself, he'll protect her at all cost.
