What a great start to this duet!
She's dying, he's not human and there's time travel.
I can't wait to see what happens next.

Hannah is plagued with a mysterious illness that doctors can't figure out. She knows she's dying even if her parents can't seem to accept it.

The day her family is hosting a fundraiser a handsome stranger arrives, Hannah assumes he's there to donate. She feels a connection to him and when he's near the pain in her body seems to fade away.

But he's not there for her fundraiser. He's there to collect a debt on a bargain made with him long before Hannah was born. He'll ease her pain until it's time to collect her soul.

The more time they spend together leaves Ellister looking for ways to spare her.
