I really enjoyed Noah and Katie's story. They're friends who've pined for each other since they were kids and they just never told each other. And to complicate matters even more when Noah's cousin Gabe came to town, he asked Katie out.
Gabe and Katie get married but their marriage isn't the best. He cheats and one night Noah goes to comfort him. They get into an argument and Gabe accidentally dies but Noah is blamed.
Noah is sent to prison. But he doesn't allow Katie to visit him.
Now ten years later he's returning to their small town. This time Katie refuses to communicate with Noah. When it becomes clear that someone is out to harm Noah, Katie's anger is softened. They begin spending time together and finally admitting the feelings they've always had for one another.
We also learn so juicy information and who has been trying to kill Noah.
What was really beautiful were Noah's declarations of love. I was nearly in tears during the whole engagement scene.
