I really enjoyed this. It's a reimagined Little Mermaid. He takes to calling her Siren. Not just because she came from the sea but also because she's bewitched him. But he does struggle with his attraction to her because of her age and after what she's gone through. *Check Your Triggers*
That changes for him when she reveals to the other woman that she's turning eighteen.

I loved that even though he's protective of her, he doesn't hold her but when she expresses the need to be a part of a raid that takes place later in the book.

Ariella is about to marry the Prophet, he's older and gross, and she does not want to be tied to him. She's part of a cult, called the Sisterhood of the Moon, not that she knows that. What she does know after being slipped a weapon is she's going down fighting. After she kills the prophet a sister tells her to run and jump off a certain cliff. So she makes her escape.

Viking is near where she lands. He and his brothers specialize in taking out people that hurt children, Check Your Triggers). He spots something white in the distance but thinks nothing of it. When his MC is heading out of town, he spots the white fabric again and stops this time, and finds Ariella.

Not sure if she witnessed them the day before, he decides to take her home with him until he can find out. At the clubhouse, an old lady examines her and gives Vike the rundown of her injuries. And now he's wondering who hurt her.

As she heals, they discover more of the abuses she suffered.

And Viking is beginning to hate the fact that he's attracted to her.
