Oh, my Gawd! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!
It was really interesting to go back to the beginning and realize that Stephanie and Hades have known each other for quite some time. And I feel like something is still being held back from their past. And I'm also wondering about the appearance of the two younger characters.
On her 21st birthday, Stephanie's life takes a turn she never expected. Her father is handing her over to a man to pay a blood debt. She's met this man before and his name is Hades Fairgood.
He's the leader of The Ruthless Reapers. He has plans for Stephanie. First, a huge tattoo across her back to let her and everyone know that she belongs to him and then he changes her name. Persephone or Persy for short.
He's cruel and bitter and enjoys humiliating her. Especially when he takes her to an event where most of Baton Rouge's affluent families will be in attendance including her father. When she tries to speak to him, he turns his back on her. And she's beginning to wonder if she ever really knew who he was.
And the longer she's with him, the more confusing her feelings become.
