I loved this!
The prologue really drops you in the middle of the couple's story. We know that they're married and something happens that leads him to believe that she's betrayed him. And he believes this because she belongs to another made family. The family he holds responsible for his mother's death. And the story keeps moving along and never really stops.
After what happened in the beginning we find out Grace and her best friend have disappeared off the face of the earth. The women are hiding from Grace's husband, Luciano, and her uncle.
Luciano left her on her uncle's doorstep and when he told her his plans for her, she had no choice but to go on the run in order to protect herself and her best friend.
Luciano has been looking for her these last three years.
When an image that looks like Grace surfaces, he personally goes to bring her back.
And things are tense, to say the least. She fights to stay where she is mostly to avoid her uncle. But she's not telling Luciano this. Instead, she plots her escape. She still loves her husband but she doesn't want to go there again. Not after what he did. But she wants to make sure things are taken care of in case her uncle gets his hands on her.
