If you love a good slow-burn with plenty of adventure then this one is for you. It is part of a series and can be read as a standalone.
Lorelei Caldwell and Fiona MacGregor are in London for their first season. They have plans to enjoy the balls, flirting, and visiting different areas of London without any family meddling. Their plan is to enjoy a few adventures, not for marriage necessarily. Their plans for adventures are in jeopardy when Fiona's brother, Alasdair MacGregor arrives in London.
Officially Alasdair is in London to reclaim the lands that belong to his clan. Unofficially to keep an eye on his sister and Lorelei. He wants to figure out how to approach Lorelei so that they can court and be married.
But those plans are interrupted when her sister and Lorelei encourage him to spend time when another lady. But seeing him spend time with this lady is starting to bother Lorelei. And she left to wonder why she ever agreed to this plan.
