What a great start to a new series. I could not read this book fast enough. I really wanted to get to know these characters and the town. I loved the added element of suspense and was really surprised when we got the reveal. I yelled even though everyone was sleeping.
We also get a little peek into the next book!
Winslow Covington, a.k.a Win or Winnie has just moved to Quincy, Montana to become the new chief of police. She also happens to be the granddaughter of the mayor, so she's gonna have to work a little harder to prove that she's the right person for the job and she earned it all on her own.
On her first night in town, she checks out the dive bar the locals usually frequent. There she meets a handsome and charming stranger, who she goes home with at the end of the night. Never did she expect him to be an Eden.
Griffin Eden belongs to Quincy's most prominent family and had taken over running the ranch. With so much responsibility on his shoulders, he's not looking for more than a one-night stand. His plan is to stay as far away from the new chief but when a woman is found dead on the edge of his property, there is no avoiding each other.
As Win begins to investigate the woman's death, Griff finds it harder to resist Winslow. She's really gotten under his skin and for the first time ever he's picturing more with this woman.
