Whoa... I was not expecting this book to be as emotional as it was. Thane and Regan have both been through so much. I love Thane and was not expecting all the hardships he's endured. Regan either for that matter. Loved the epilogue.
After avoiding her sister Robyn following her getting shot on duty and then what happened at Ardnoch Estate, Regan shows up at the gates out of the blue. She figures it's the safest place for her to be and it gives her an opportunity to make things right with her sister.
Widower Thane is looking for a nanny housekeeper for his children. Wary of Regan, because of things Robyn shared, he is pleasantly surprised with how quickly and easily she and his children get along. But when Regan offers to nanny for him he is still hesitant. It also doesn't help how attractive he finds her.
The more time she spends with Thane and his family the more she falls in love with them all.
When someone from his past threatens his family, Regan is there to protect and defend his children. Earning her a place in his heart, yet he still pushes her away.
