These two had a few hurdles to get over but I just loved their story. It was sweet even with Zane being a grump.
And I loved how the whole community came together to help Rachel and her brother.
Rachel has been so laser-focused on building her career and caring for her younger brother with special needs that she never got around to losing her virginity.
Zane is a grumpy former football player convinced he breaks everything he touches. But he helps her brother by taking him to equine therapy and giving her rides to work. He even came to her rescue when she collapsed in the shower.
He says he only breaks things but she notices all the fixing he does.
She doesn't back down from arguing with him, she suggests he read romance and insists on giving him a massage to ease his back pain.
He can't erase the image of her naked in his mind and when she mentions that she's never been kissed the more his resolve is weakening.
