Love this cover. Loved Whistler and Charlie. And even though there are some heavy moments in this book there are also some light-hearted moments. Brayden the surfer comes to mind.
Whistler has set to be the next Great Baseball player of his generation. When an injury robbed him of his dream he didn't put down his bat. Instead, he utilized it to channel his rage and if they heard the whistle of his bat, they were in trouble.
Especially men who hurt women.
When Whistler meets Charlie, he can't shake the feeling that something is off. She's a little jumpy and she shows up at work with bruises she can't cover. Unable to do much he digs into her husband and he uncovers interesting news.
Now he just has to keep her safe.
